Wow what a car, delayed on the way back home for an additional 2 hours making the trip home 6 hours but what an enjoyable 6 hours it was. Alex and the team at Smiths made it an easy no pressure experience, the quality of the cars is very high, they almost sell themselves to be honest. No questions too much trouble and everything explained along the way. Would definitely recommend and would buy from them again the future.

Just collected our fabulous new Porsche 981 Cayman GTS from Smiths Sports and Performance Cars. Very pleased with the overall condition of the car as offered and the service we received from Alex, Ben and Richard. Particularly with the deal going smoothly within 48 hours from initial enquiry to collection and our homeward drive.

Went to view a Jaguar XF Sportbrake Smiths had up for sale, even though it wasn’t the car for me I could tell it had been prepared to an impeccable standard. Ben sorted me out with a test drive and the sales atmosphere was without any pressure. Looking around at the other selection of vehicles in the showroom and out the front you can tell that vast amounts of time and effort has been put in to make sure they are some of the best examples out there. When I’m in the market for an F-Type I will have no issues making the 2.5 hour journey back to deal with these guys!

It was a very enjoyable experience buying my immaculate Porsche 981 Boxster GTS from Smiths, Ben and Richard were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Lots of amazing sports cars to choose from at a well presented premises and showroom, well worth the 100 mile drive from Suffolk to Melton Mowbray.

Picked up an Audi TTRS Sports Edition and the whole experience was first-class. The dealership itself is a very impressive outfit. You could easily think you’d walked into a top-end, big-name brand showroom.

Ben handled everything with a calm, confident demeanour that really stood out. No pressure, no fluff, just a genuine professional interaction. I knew what I wanted, the test drive confirmed it and I drove the car home the same evening. Seamless.

The stock feels carefully selected and properly prepped. My TTRS was very low mileage and spotless. I also took the 3-year Platinum warranty for peace of mind, though so far the car hasn’t put a foot wrong albeit it hasn’t been driven much (recent purchase).

I recently purchased an Aston Martin V8 Vantage from the guys at Smith’s. Having been searching for one in red for a while, I was quite keen to make an enquiry.

I initially spoke to Alex who kindly arranged a viewing for later on that day. Upon arriving at the dealership I was greeted by Alex and Ben who were both incredibly polite and professional.

I was shown to the car and allowed plenty of time to look around it without any hassle or pressure. The car was immaculately presented and came equipped with an absolute heap of service history (a real testament to the previous owners, who have clearly loved the car). The test drive was great – the route allowed for a mixture of driving at different speeds which was really useful in getting to know the car. Ben was very patient considering both the weather was being typically British and I hadn’t driven a manual for probably 10 years or so!

I’d made up my mind by this point that it was definitely the car I wanted and I put down a deposit. Various additional products were shown and explained to me, again – with no hard sale. For some added peace of mind, I decided to opt for a 12 month warranty as the car is a tad on the older side.

Overall a fantastic buying experience with excellent comms both pre and post sale.

I purchased a Cayman 718 GT4 a few weeks back from Alex after having a test drive the previous week. Smooth easy transaction and a high spec car competitively priced with the current market.

Purchased a car from Smiths in June this year, as I was driving from Cornwall I had a fair few questions and requests of pictures etc that I wanted before making the journey but nothing was too much for the guys here. Car was exactly as described and very well presented when I arrived to collect. Had one minor issue with the car when I got home but they rectified it promptly with no qualms. Showroom is immaculate with a superb selection of cars. Alex and Ben were brilliant to deal with. Very good service all round, would not hesitate to buy from Smiths again in the future.

We have been working with Smiths Performance for just over 7 years so this review is well overdue. All deals have been swift, transparent and as described when both buying and selling. Their vehicles are prepared meticulously and carefully sourced. Every dealer will eventually get a negative review; you can’t possibly please everyone (they aren’t selling pizza/ice cream) but some of the negative reviews here are comical. After doing business for the length of time we have, we should have encountered at least one negative experience through sheer probability alone, yet we have not. If that is not testament to the level of service provided, we are not sure what is. We will continue to do business and refer clients both ways; we wish all dealers operated as honestly as Smiths Performance. There’s not much they could improve on in our opinion, (Richard could tell better jokes) and we often use Smiths as a reference point for how we could improve our services. Bought my first Porsche at the weekend … Alex and Ben have been great with me fielding questions etc although Melton Mowbray is 2.5 hours away the service and reviews meant I was happy to travel and they had the car I wanted …. A Cayman 2.7L PDK in White with 20 inch turbo alloys that had done just over 24,000 Miles. They gave me a competitive price on my trade in car. I feel I will be a repeat customer in the coming years. With customers willing to travel from all over the UK it speaks volumes about the service and the business. It’s always worth checking out the autotrader adverts and their YouTube channel for the latest cars as well as their web site which is classy and well put together. Definitely give them a go they will do what they can to work with you and get you into a sports or prestige vehicle.

I recently bought a Porsche 718 Boxster S for my wife from Ben at Smiths Sports and Performance. The car was extremely well advertised showing the car in all angles along with a detailed description. There was also an excellent video showing the car in real time.

Once I’d spoken to Ben I quickly agreed a deal and sent him a deposit to hold the car. I arranged my train ticket to view and collect the car as I was travelling over 200 miles and Ben collected me from the train station and took me back to the showroom to go through the car and all of the features included. The car was presented immaculately, and as described and he went through everything in a professional but friendly manner which put me at ease.

We sorted all the paperwork out quickly and efficiently as I had a long drive home and I left feeling very happy with the purchase.
